Wetherby Lions received a Certificate of Appreciation from the YAA for the funds raised at the 2014 Beer Festival and other fundraising events:-
At our 6th October Club meeting at the Bridge Hotel, Lion Martin Doxey was delighted to present a cheque for £2,475 to Tracy Gregory from Yorkshire Air Ambulance , this being the proceeds from our Beer Festival last June, when YAA were the sole beneficiary. This is the third occasion that Wetherby Lions have helped Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Tracy said that YAA were most grateful for our continued support and went on to say that they rely wholly on charitable donations such as this to continue to run this vital service. She informed us that the population of the county of Yorkshire exceeds that of the whole of Scotland, a surprising statistic that came out from the recent Scottish referendum. She also announced that YAA is looking into the viability of purchase a third helicopter, to further improve the service.

Great Heck Brewery Shankar IPA 5.9% Pale India Pale Ale is a traditional English beer style typically featuring plenty of alcohol and hops. The beers were designed this way to last the voyage from England to India where they were the daily ration of the English Army. Named after the eponymous Ravi, Shankar IPA represents a place where English craft brewing oriental intensity and rock and roll meet. A seriously fruity, hoppy, pale ale with a clean, zesty finish.

Settle Brewery Classic 4.0% Rich Amber
Classic is a traditional one hop bitter, at 4% ABV. Rich amber in colour, it has an earthy bitterness, with fresh lemon and lime notes. Our most recent addition to the range, it is a real quencher, and like the railway itself, one which has already attracted a great following.
